Frangipani (Plumeria acutifolia)

Known for the beautiful flowers, this deciduous tree has a single trunk and multiple, thick, knobbly branches. Large matte, dark green leathery leaves have a prominent midrib. White flowers with a yellow centre are clustered at the branch tips and emerge before the leaves in Spring.

The stunning, highly fragrant flowers appear between November and May and are followed by long brown seed pots. Widely grown in the tropics of Australia and as such they prefer full sun, well-drained soil and a frost free climate. 

Frangipani can quickly adapt to growing in containers. During colder months, during times of frost, move your Frangipani indoors or under a veranda.
