Lady Finger Cactus (Echinocereus pentalophus

It is a mat-forming cactus with many crowded, finger-like stems that sprawl along the ground as they elongate.

The plant produces large, showy flowers, typically lilac-pink or magenta with a distinct white, yellow or greenish throat.  It is widely cultivated and considered among the easier cactus species to grow and propagate.

This cactus species is native to North America, (south Texas and Mexico).
